Capcom Sponsors TheSpeedGamers’ Resident Evil Series Halloween Marathon for Charity
TheSpeedGamers are at it again, this time hosting a Resident Evil marathon this Halloween weekend in order to raise money for The Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation. It begins at 6pm CST tomorrow, on Friday, October 30th, and is slated to run for 48 hours as they attempt to tackle every core Resident Evil game, from 0 to REmake, as well as 2, 3, Code Veronica, 4, and 5. They’re even going to tackle RE Gaiden for the Game Boy!
And just for fun, there will be an extra “Pumpkin Cam” set up to view trick-or-treaters who come by during the marathon. “We want the full Halloween experience,” they say.
Capcom is sponsoring their efforts by donating prizes, including copies of RE5 (with two copies of the PC version autographed by its Producers) and RE Archives for the Wii. JGonzo at the Capcom*Unity also notes they will try to set up a simulcast on their site as well.
